Customer Service Technician

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-speed internet, video, and voice networks.
• Perform maintenance and repair on outside plant facilities.
• Climb poles, dig to bury cables, and work in utility access holes or vaults.
• Support sales and marketing activities through customer-facing interactions.
• Assist other technical personnel with field duties as required.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations during field operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.
• Ability to handle 28-foot extension ladders and lift up to 150 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, aloft, and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including mandatory overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office applications.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a customer-facing telecom operations technician.
• Basic electricity training or certification.
• ADSL installation and repair experience.
• A+ or Net+ certification.
