Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Physical AI)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. Travel up to 10% of the time. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Base pay for Washington applicants: $197,004–$275,805.60 per year. Other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise Physical AI software engineering team building AI products for requirements, design, simulation, analysis, build, and operations.
• Hire, staff, grow, and mentor software engineers and future technical leaders.
• Partner with customers, product managers, and Emerging Technology leaders to define and execute the Physical AI roadmap.
• Collaborate with Anthropic, AWS, OpenAI, and other AI service providers to integrate secure, market-leading capabilities.
• Own production performance, reliability, cost, and quality for Physical AI systems.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to the AI and Emerging Technologies engineering strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in management.
• Experience leading software projects from inception through delivery and managing engineering teams.
• Experience with generative AI systems, including agentic harnesses, MCP, agent memory and state management, retrieval-augmented generation, and knowledge graphs.
• Experience with software architecture, distributed backend systems, cloud environments such as AWS, and applying AI to business problems.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements and complete the required background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with design and product definition in regulated industries.
• Experience with simulations, digital twins, and synthetic data generation.
• Experience in aerospace or defense and familiarity with aerospace compliance requirements.
