TL;DR

Senior Manager, Consumer Insights (Media): Leading primary research studies to understand media audiences and brand perceptions with an accent on quantitative and qualitative research design. Focus on synthesizing complex data into actionable insights to influence brand strategy and cross-functional stakeholders.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York, NY (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 (bonus eligible)

What you will do

  • Lead primary research efforts from strategy through execution to generate actionable brand and audience insights.
  • Design and execute quantitative and qualitative studies, including surveys, focus groups, and community panels.
  • Manage a portfolio-wide brand tracking study, interpreting results and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Leverage syndicated data sources to provide context to primary research and behavioral data.
  • Develop and present story-driven, executive-friendly presentations to influence strategic decisions.
  • Mentor junior team members and manage project operations, including budgets and research schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, psychology, or social sciences.
  • 5-10 years of experience in media or market research.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid model in New York, NY.

  • Experience supporting ongoing brand tracking programs across multiple categories.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools to streamline research workflows.
  • Understanding of entertainment industry trends and cross-platform consumer behavior.
