Vertical Operations Manager (Automotive)

Location: Phoenix, AZ, United States; travel to on-site locations is required based on business flow

Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annual base salary, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Own delivery, installation, maintenance, and lifecycle service execution across Fleet, Rental, or Dealership verticals.
• Plan resources, maintain safety and quality standards, meet installation timelines, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Partner with Sales and Implementation to validate commitments, identify risks, and create executable operational plans.
• Lead Field Service Engineers and Service Operations Coordinators, including utilization, technical readiness, and capacity planning.
• Manage installation partners and contractors while monitoring cost, quality, and execution performance.
• Drive operational KPIs and corrective actions for on-time delivery, first-time fixes, and cost per installation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading field operations, service delivery, or technical operations teams.
• Experience managing distributed Field Service Engineers or technical field teams in automotive, fleet, rental, dealership, or similar environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, and Operations.
• Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, forecasting, high-volume deployment, installation, or field service projects.
• Strong understanding of SLAs, KPIs, operational metrics, vendor management, and data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency with ERP, CRM, or Field Service Management systems; a related bachelor's degree is preferred.
