Salary: $178,000 - $200,000

What you will do

• Own multi-state regulatory compliance obligations, including TNC licensing and driver qualification standards.
• Monitor and analyze federal and state legislation, developing proactive policy positions and engagement strategies.
• Manage a litigation portfolio, including labor and employment claims, discovery strategy, and outside counsel coordination.
• Advise cross-functional teams on regulatory requirements for new market entry and ongoing operations.
• Build and implement AI-powered projects and workflows to increase efficiency across regulatory and litigation matters.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on AI governance and automated decision-making compliance.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in your state of residence.
• 8+ years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in a law firm or in-house role focusing on regulatory or governmental affairs.
• Demonstrated experience navigating state regulatory agencies and legislative processes.
• Proven ability to manage litigation or claims, including discovery and corporate witness preparation.
• Consistent use of AI tools for legal research, contract analysis, or matter management.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a high-volume, multi-jurisdictional regulatory portfolio.

Nice to have

• Experience in transportation, mobility, or gig economy industries.
• Background in data privacy (CCPA, HIPAA) or government contracting.
• Familiarity with public utilities commissions or education regulatory frameworks.
• Experience advising on algorithmic compliance or AI governance.
