Location: Los Angeles office 4+ days per week (default together policy)

Salary: Zone A (CA) $209,000–$313,000; Zone B $199,000–$297,000; Zone C $178,000–$266,000 annually + equity (RSUs)

What you will do

• Partner with Engineering Security on vendor due diligence, third-party assessments, GRC, and incident response
• Develop and enforce data security policies meeting global legal requirements
• Ensure global data processing complies with GDPR, US state privacy laws, and other regulations
• Collaborate on product development issues involving privacy, security, and encryption
• Improve privacy-by-design program with Privacy Engineering
• Analyze risks and regulatory needs for new products, conduct PIAs and due diligence for acquisitions
• Draft public descriptions of products and track emerging legislation
• Conduct company-wide privacy and security trainings

Requirements

• J.D. from nationally recognized law school and active state bar membership
• 6+ years practicing law, with in-house or firm experience in privacy, cybersecurity, product, and mobile app matters
• Deep knowledge of global privacy laws (GDPR, ePrivacy, US state laws) and cybersecurity frameworks (EU NIS 2, NIST)
• Experience with security teams on incident response, investigations, and on-call rotation
• Knowledge of AI laws and regulations
• Strong judgment, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
