Engineering Manager (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead, manage, and develop Hardware and Software Engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and validation of automotive electronic systems and ECUs.
• Manage project planning, resources, budgets, timelines, engineering tools, and department infrastructure.
• Review technical designs, engineering changes, and risk assessments for compliance with functional safety, cybersecurity, and automotive standards.
• Represent engineering in cross-functional work and interactions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Improve engineering processes, development methodologies, and tools while supporting agile ways of working.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in automotive electronics, including at least 5 years leading Hardware and Software Engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in embedded systems, microcontrollers, automotive communication networks, and ECU development.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, functional safety, cybersecurity frameworks, and automotive regulations.
• Experience leading complex product development projects from concept through validation, industrialization, and production launch.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
