Claims Specialist (Cyber Insurance)

What you will do

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve cyber incidents.
• Evaluate claim coverage, draft coverage letters, and manage exposure.
• Build relationships with underwriting, security, brokers, insureds, and other stakeholders.
• Report significant claims to management and proactively set reserves.
• Provide claims feedback to improve underwriting technology, products, and security processes.
• Deliver high-quality service to customers during cyber incidents.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of insurance claims-handling experience.
• At least 30% of current claims experience must involve cyber insurance, including ransomware, business email compromise, business interruption, or financial fraud.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Licensed claims adjuster; licenses in multiple states and willingness to obtain additional licenses are valued.
• College degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience as an insurance practice paralegal may also be considered.
