Claim Specialist - Property Field Inspection

Location: Sloatsburg, New York. Remote-field work from home with a mobile office/vehicle, requiring in-person appointments throughout the assigned territory and occasional travel to other territories.

Salary: $78,862.06–$112,500 annually, with potential incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Conduct on-site inspections and assess damage to residential and commercial properties.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms, document evidence, prepare reports, and determine claim validity.
• Collaborate with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to resolve claims and provide customer support.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits and applicable guidelines.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding inspections, including climbing roofs, carrying equipment, and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to investigate problems, interpret policies, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
• Knowledge of property insurance, residential and commercial construction, building materials, water mitigation, and inspection processes.
• Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents.
• Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, business, construction management, or a related field; required training, licensing exams, MVR checks, and background checks must be completed.
