What you will do

• Investigate coverage and liability of claims through telephone, correspondence, and personal contact.
• Analyze claims to determine the extent of loss, taking into account contributory or comparative negligence.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and resolve general liability and auto liability files from start to finish.
• Update claims systems accurately to reflect file status and negligence percentages.
• Manage claim expenses and close files by issuing payments or denials with appropriate releases.
• Prepare for and participate in claims review and settlement conferences.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Minimum of three years of commercial general liability claim handling experience preferred.
• Experience evaluating and settling bodily injury claims.
• Proven negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• College degree preferred.
