GL Claims Specialist - Remote

Location: United States; fully remote

Salary: USD $83,000–$108,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of General Liability claims from initial report through resolution.
• Investigate coverage, liability, and damages by collecting information from insureds, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, and other parties.
• Analyze policy coverage, issue claim correspondence, evaluate exposures, establish reserves, and negotiate settlements within delegated authority.
• Coordinate with defense counsel, experts, and service providers on litigated or complex claims.
• Identify contribution and subrogation opportunities and maintain accurate claim documentation, payments, and expense approvals.
• Partner with insureds, agents, underwriters, and internal teams while identifying potential fraud indicators.

Requirements

• Five or more years of commercial General Liability claims handling experience preferred.
• Experience evaluating and resolving bodily injury claims preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and claim-resolution skills.
• Sound judgment and decision-making within delegated authority, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency with standard business software and claims management systems.
• Applicable state claims adjuster licensure and a bachelor's degree are preferred.
