Property Field Claims Specialist (Property Claims)

Location: Remote within the United States, serving the Ohio territory; residence in the nearby area or relocation at personal expense is required. Approximately 75% of the role involves driving within the territory. No relocation assistance is offered.

What you will do

• Handle property and inland marine claims for the assigned region and assist other regions as needed.
• Investigate claims, evaluate property damage, prepare estimates, obtain documentation, and determine coverage.
• Settle primarily $25,000–$100,000 aggregate losses within established authority, including occasional larger claims.
• Handle typical Business Income losses and participate in the corporate catastrophe response team as an initial responder.
• Select and deploy experts, manage negotiations and reserving, and respond to legal, regulatory, and appeal matters.
• Provide coverage and estimating assistance to regional claims managers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the nearby area of the Ohio territory or relocate at personal expense.
• Ability to work varying shifts.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing and ability to drive an automobile.
• Efficient keyboarding skills and proficiency with standard business and claims-specific software.
• Five years of claims experience preferred, with knowledge of Commercial and Personal Lines coverages and computer-based damage estimating.
• College degree preferred.
