What you will do

• Assemble and install mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies, gas handling racks, manifolds, and vacuum components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, BOMs, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Cut, bend, route, and install stainless steel tubing, fittings, valves, and related instrumentation.
• Perform drilling, tapping, deburring, pressure and vacuum testing, and helium leak checking.
• Complete production logs, work orders, inspection records, and assembly documentation.
• Support improvements to assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.

Requirements

• Post-secondary technical diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience assembling complex mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Experience with tubing, fittings, manifolds, gas, vacuum, or pressure systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and follow multi-level BOMs and technical schematics.
• Able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Swagelok or similar compression fittings.
• High-vacuum leak checking, pressure testing, or cryogenic assembly experience.
• Pump maintenance or machine shop experience.
• Experience working in a startup, R&D, or low-volume, high-complexity production environment.
