What you will do

• Design mechanical systems for underground mobile mining equipment using SolidWorks.
• Perform system simulations using SolidWorks or Ansys to ensure product safety and performance.
• Define testing criteria and validation methods based on industry standards.
• Optimize mechanical designs for cost, performance, and manufacturability.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Provide support to production and field teams for commissioning and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• BS or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or C.Eng. Tech certification.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in mobile equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB).
• Experience with stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics.
• Ability to travel up to 15% to customer sites internationally.
• Strong knowledge of material selection and manufacturing processes.
