Mechanical Technician

Location: Onsite at the manufacturing facility in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $25.00 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Assemble prefabricated components and sub-assemblies into completed inkjet printer builds using engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions.
• Test products, equipment, motors, drives, cables, and electro-mechanical assemblies for safety, functionality, productivity, and consistency.
• Inspect, measure, calibrate, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies.
• Wire and test electrical assemblies and cables according to engineering schematics.
• Document production work orders, quality results, and build progress accurately.
• Follow health, safety, electrical safety, quality, and 6S procedures while collaborating with technicians and assemblers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical trade school certificate in electrical, mechanical, machine building, or software interfaces.
• 0–5 years of experience in a mechanical production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams and use precision measuring and diagnostic instruments.
• Knowledge of mechanical machine assembly, software operating systems, basic computer tools, and electronic manufacturing tools.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
