What you will do

• Drive significant financial outcomes through signings, revenue targets, and margin management.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to state, local government, and K-12/higher education (SLED) clients.
• Lead C-level client interactions and manage the delivery of high-quality consulting initiatives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by navigating public sector procurement processes.
• Foster a culture of professional development and innovation within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop thought leadership and intellectual capital to establish a strong industry brand.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a sales or consulting role specifically with SLED organizations.
• Deep understanding of California government budget cycles and fiscal year planning.
• Expertise in public sector procurement (RFPs, RFIs, NASPO, OMNIA, GSA schedules).
• Experience with IT Professional Services and Cloud migration solutions.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks including CJIS, FERPA, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and StateRAMP.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working within a government agency, public school district, or university system.
• Knowledge of smart city programs or digital equity initiatives.
• Existing professional relationships within California state agencies and municipalities.
