What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 engineers across mechanical, electrical, robotics, and software disciplines.
• Research, develop, and implement advanced manufacturing technologies to improve productivity and product quality.
• Manage technical requirements and relationships with external collaborators, suppliers, and research universities.
• Apply TRL (Technology Readiness Level) and MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) frameworks to project planning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally within a matrix organization to align manufacturing projects with business goals.
• Travel (10-15%) to research, develop, and test new technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or Industrial preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial robotics, or automation.
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Proficiency in TRL and MRL concepts and frameworks.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• General knowledge of AI and its practical applications in manufacturing.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial application lasers, optics, and metrology systems.
• Practical computer programming experience for manufacturing systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Siemens NX.
