Staff Mechanical Engineer (Robotics): Leading the design and development of electromechanical subsystems for next-generation humanoid robots with an accent on mechanism design, electronics packaging, and structural analysis. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Fremont, CA (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $185,000–$240,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the design of electromechanical components and subsystems for the next generation of robots.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to define requirements and develop design concepts.
• Perform engineering analyses including structural, thermal, and tolerance stack-up modeling.
• Support root cause investigations and implement design improvements.
• Mentor and nurture junior engineers within the mechanical team.
• Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation using Creo and Windchill.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of mechanical design experience.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• Proven experience in mechanism design, electronics packaging, and drive-train components.
• Proficiency in Creo and Windchill.
• Strong background in FEA, static, and dynamic analysis.
• Ability to travel 25% to the Robot Factory in Salem, Oregon.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in mechatronics or robotics.
• Experience with actuator design or selection.
• Prior experience with Jira and Confluence for project management.
