What you will do

• Own subsystem-level mechanical solutions for spacecraft hardware.
• Lead design reviews and represent the mechanical discipline in customer engagements.
• Collaborate with electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated hardware.
• Work with structural and thermal analysts to ensure component integrity and temperature limits.
• Conduct mechanical testing including vibration, static load, and shock testing.
• Support hardware integration and production readiness activities.

Requirements

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 12-15+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, or protected person status required due to export control regulations.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of FEA, structural analysis, and GD&T standards.
• Familiarity with space environments, material selection, and spacecraft structural loads.

Nice to have

• Demonstrated on-orbit success with space hardware.
• Experience with TVAC testing.
• Previous experience on DoD or USG development programs.
• Ability to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance.
