Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY, United States; onsite at the New York office

Salary: $115,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Design and implement robust, low-latency systems for pricing, quoting, and hedging financial instruments including USTs, swaps, and MBS.
• Develop platforms for risk and P&L management used by trading desks.
• Apply AI-driven analytics to complex financial data and predictive pricing strategies.
• Build scalable, high-availability software and systems for front-office technology.
• Collaborate with engineering and financial services stakeholders to identify issues and deliver solutions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience with Java, C, C++, or Python.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to identify the scope and impact of technical issues quickly.
• Self-directed, motivated, and team-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Financial services or fintech experience.
• AWS and microservice architecture experience.
• Experience with high-availability, mission-critical systems, distributed tracing, performance testing, authentication, and authorization.
• Knowledge of UNIX internals, Terraform, networking, algorithms, data structures, and software design.
