Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 business days onsite at the Fairfax, Virginia corporate office and/or Springfield, Virginia customer site; less than 10% travel to mostly CONUS locations.

Salary: $135,000–$170,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software and integrated applications.
• Analyze stakeholder needs, system flows, data usage, operational feasibility, and proposed solutions.
• Design and implement improvements for brownfield applications and operational processes.
• Develop application tests, testing strategies, and scripting solutions to automate manual processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders in an Agile environment, communicating development and service issues.
• Support projects involving AI/ML, big data, cloud solutions, and enterprise application integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT field, or equivalent experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly.
• 3–5+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages, including Python, C++, and JavaScript.
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks, containerization and orchestration technologies, Linux CLI scripting, and Agile delivery.
• Ability to work onsite at least 3 days per week and travel less than 10% to mostly CONUS locations.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and a master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• DoD Approved 8570 IAT Level I certification, such as Security+.
• Experience with React, Ansible, Airflow, Django, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience in computer vision, computer graphics, homography, GIS data, CUDA programming, or machine learning algorithms.
• Experience working with Department of Defense organizations or performers.
