Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully on-site in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, United States. Travel of up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $114,000–$231,000 per year, with ranges varying by experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services for missile defense systems.
• Integrate software components, APIs, and third-party technologies into existing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features, resolve defects, and improve system capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, deployment, and modernization efforts.
• Create technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational procedures throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with one or more of C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Git, Linux-based environments, SQL, relational databases, and container technologies such as Docker or Podman.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and travel up to 10% as required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Aegis Weapon System concepts, architectures, or related combat systems.
• Experience with scripting, automation, CI/CD, automated testing, Agile, DevSecOps, cloud-native technologies, or container orchestration.
• Experience supporting complex software modernization or sustainment programs.
• Strong technical communication, ownership, and independent task execution skills.
