Software Engineer

Location: Onsite in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, with at least 5 days in the office

Salary: $114,000–$231,000 per year, with ranges varying by experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Implement features, resolve defects, and enhance system capabilities with cross-functional teams.
• Integrate software components, APIs, and third-party technologies into existing systems.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, deployment, and modernization.
• Create technical documentation, design artifacts, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through deployment and sustainment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with one or more of C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Git, Linux-based environments, SQL, relational databases, and container technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance; ability to travel up to 10% as required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Aegis Weapon System concepts, architectures, or related combat systems.
• Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Groovy scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Agile, DevSecOps, cloud-native technologies, and container orchestration.
• Experience developing, modernizing, or sustaining complex software systems.
