Software Engineer II (C#/Python)

Location: Remote; other location: Fort Lee, NJ

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable software modules and backend components for lending platforms.
• Build technology supporting consumer and commercial loan origination, funding, servicing, and sales across the end-to-end lifecycle.
• Develop backend systems using C# and Python, SQL databases, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Implement maintainable solutions that address both short-term delivery needs and long-term sustainability.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams on technical approaches.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing enterprise systems with modern object-oriented languages.
• At least 2 years of experience with C# or Python and 2+ years of SQL experience.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL Server and database persistence frameworks such as Entity Framework or nHibernate.
• Experience with AI-assisted and agentic code generation tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Experience or understanding of Domain-Driven Design, cloud architecture, AWS, and Docker or containers.
• Strong communication skills and experience designing or developing distributed systems and event-driven architecture.

Nice to have

• Financial industry or accounting experience.
• Experience with MassTransit, NServiceBus, RabbitMQ, or idempotency patterns.
