Geomatics Technician

TL;DR

Geomatics Technician (Geospatial Data): Quality control and assembly of aerial imagery products with an accent on image quality review and accuracy. Focus on post-processing raw GPS, INS, and digital image data to ensure customer requirements are met.

Location: Hybrid position based out of the Rochester, NY office

Salary: $17.00 per hour

What you will do

• Post-process raw GPS, INS, and digital image data using proprietary internal and industry-standard geomatics packages.
• Perform quality control by reviewing digital images and making pass/fail decisions based on image quality and accuracy.
• Assemble and build final customer deliverables following established procedures.
• Collaborate with special teams and engage in ongoing software training and development.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• Excellent PC skills, including proficiency with file management, networking, and databases.
• Ability to manage detail-intensive data processing within strict timelines.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Rochester, NY office.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPS, GIS, scripting, remote sensing, physics, or mathematics.
• Experience with Windows 10 and 11.
• Background in information technology, digital imaging, or administrative work.
