What you will do

• Develop and refine site grading and restoration designs using AutoDesk Civil 3D.
• Produce construction-ready deliverables including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic analyses to inform design development.
• Create terrain models from high-resolution Point Cloud and topographic survey data.
• Participate in field efforts such as site reconnaissance and bathymetric surveys.
• Provide construction-phase support, including submittal reviews and site visits.

Requirements

• Must be local to Sacramento, CA
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Biological, or Ecological Engineering.
• 5-7 years of applied design and drafting experience.
• Proficiency with AutoDesk Civil 3D and site grading design.
• Experience managing the full project lifecycle from feasibility to construction.
• Strong communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.

Nice to have

• Licensed California State professional civil engineer or EIT status.
• Experience with aquatic habitat restoration design.
• Familiarity with open channel hydraulics and modeling tools like HEC-RAS.
• Understanding of geomorphic and sediment transport processes.
• Experience with GIS and geographic transformations.
