Functional Consultant, Client Success (AI)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid work with work from home two days a week. Limited travel to customer sites is required.

What you will do

• Apply industry best practices, business process knowledge, o9 solution expertise, technical architecture, and value proposition knowledge.
• Resolve customer issues, maintain solution usability and uptime, validate data loads, and verify end-to-end workflows.
• Identify configuration and design issues, coordinate with other consultants, and act as the point of contact for platform upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
• Configure the o9 platform for post-go-live change requests and enhancements addressing supply chain and operational problems.
• Create and execute workflow and data analytics test cases, track bugs and issues, and support Super User and End User training.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve internal processes and product features based on customer feedback.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with enterprise planning application tools.
• Knowledge and training in databases, including SQL Server and MySQL; SQL, MDX, T-SQL, or similar skills are desirable.
• Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts, including Demand Management, Distribution Planning, Master Planning, and S&OP.
• Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Business-level English and native-level Japanese are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with organized collaboration and clear communication skills.

• Statistical, optimization, and simulation skills using R, JavaScript, or Python.
