Automation Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global US HQ Campus on National Hwy in Pennsauken, New Jersey, United States. Shift: 6 PM–6 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Salary: $24.69–$35.49 per hour, based on experience, skills, and location. Eligible for a quarterly incentive program.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and controls equipment.
• Maintain production equipment and collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support continuous output.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair steam, refrigeration, and wastewater systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance without interrupting production.
• Fabricate components, tools, and equipment and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain CMMS work orders, requisitions, and inventory, and use SAP for purchase requisitions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with sanitary systems and mechanical equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, and steam traps.
• Ability to work with electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, temperature controls, flow controls, and other instrumentation.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally, work at elevated heights, and perform physically demanding maintenance activities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to learn new and existing processing systems.
• Ability to work safely around machinery, noise, extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and other plant hazards.

Nice to have

• Blue or Black Seal Boiler License.
• Food manufacturing and GMP experience.
• Stainless steel and sanitary welding skills.
