Production Operations Supervisor - 1st Shift (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Pennant Chester St., Rochester, New York, United States; onsite production facility, 1st shift

Salary: $65,000–$82,000 annually, based on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Supervise manufacturing operations and 10 or more direct reports while supporting teamwork, safety, sanitation, and production goals.
• Monitor workflows, equipment, control points, production variables, personnel, resources, and adherence to the production schedule.
• Coach employees, provide feedback, manage development plans and performance reviews, and maintain training, attendance, and paid-time-off records.
• Manage production inventory and ordering for stock and non-stock materials.
• Review quality holds, mechanical disruptions, and safety accidents using root cause analysis and other problem-solving tools.
• Lead continuous improvement activities, including OEE tracking, 5S, visual management, Lean projects, and best-practice implementation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of leadership experience with direct reports and 2–5 years in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably food manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, employee engagement, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent English speaking and writing required.
• Required knowledge of Lean Six Sigma; Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of GMPs, food manufacturing, and SAP is preferred.
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment with required PPE.
