Virtual Primary Care Physician (Telehealth)

Location: Remote within the United States, with several onsite planning and team-building gatherings each year.

Salary: $300,000–$325,000 annually, plus benefits and bonus.

What you will do

• Provide comprehensive primary care through virtual consultations, including asynchronous care, diagnosis, treatment planning, and care coordination.
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners through collaborative practice agreements, chart and documentation review, coaching, consultation, and professional development.
• Manage high-complexity patients and support total cost of care, evidence-based utilization, and value-based care initiatives.
• Participate in clinical quality improvement, peer review, chart audits, care gap management, and population health activities.
• Develop and refine evidence-based clinical programs, care pathways, and practice standards.
• Support urgent patient needs through scheduled on-call shifts and participate in daily multidisciplinary care-team activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited MD or DO residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• At least five years of primary care experience and current board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Active unrestricted physician license in Massachusetts and residence in the United States are required.
• Experience collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and interdisciplinary care teams, including clinical oversight, mentorship, or supervision.
• Experience with clinical quality initiatives, peer review, chart audits, value-based care, quality measurement, and population health.
• Ability to maintain multi-state licensure and associated CME requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in virtual-first or telehealth-enabled primary care.
• Current Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration and federal DEA registration.
• Experience in a rapidly scaling healthcare or digital health organization.
• Additional active licensure in 35 or more states.
