Medical Director, Practice Performance (Healthcare)

Location: Field - New Jersey; hybrid role

Salary: $253,000–$330,000 USD base salary per year

What you will do

• Partner with network physicians and care teams to improve clinical quality, patient outcomes, and total cost of care.
• Identify performance gaps and translate data into actionable clinical changes.
• Coach providers individually and in groups on evidence-based care, documentation, and population health strategies.
• Drive adoption of Clover Assistant in real clinical workflows and implement clinical programs with partner providers.
• Build trusted peer relationships with clinicians and collaborate with Operations, Analytics, and Provider Success.
• Support and mentor market-level clinical leaders across the provider network.

Requirements

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license and board certification; primary care preferred.
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience.
• Experience in value-based care, population health, or risk-based models such as MSOs, ACOs, or Medicare Advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach peer clinicians without direct authority.
• Comfort using data, EMRs, clinical tools, and technology-enabled care models to drive clinical decisions and behavior change.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with physicians and care teams.
