Staff Financial Analyst (AI)

Location: San Diego, California or Mountain View, California, United States

Salary: San Diego: $142,000–$192,000 annually; Mountain View: $154,000–$208,500 annually, plus potential bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with TurboTax Core GTM and Performance Marketing leadership on financial planning, forecasting, and analysis of paid and unpaid marketing channels.
• Build AI-enabled models for customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, LTV:CAC, payback period, and marginal return on incremental spend.
• Collaborate with marketing, analytics, and data science teams on marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, and incrementality testing.
• Drive in-season pacing, investment testing, and budget reallocation during the tax filing calendar.
• Develop annual plans, channel budgets, efficiency targets, and scenario analyses for changing market and competitive conditions.
• Lead financial reviews, manage forecasts and risks, and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, strategy consulting, investment banking, or quantitative marketing/growth finance.
• Strong financial acumen and experience building and managing complex financial models; marketing finance experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of CAC, LTV, ROAS, payback, incrementality, and marketing mix modeling or attribution.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets; SQL and/or Python experience is preferred.
• Proficiency orchestrating AI models such as Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT in day-to-day work.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field required.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, consumer subscription, or consumer marketing.
• Advanced degree or certification such as an MBA, CPA, or CFA.
