TL;DR

Software Engineer (Edge): Building and maintaining features for the Tulip Player application, device drivers, and cloud microservices with an accent on industrial frontline operations. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Somerville, MA (Hybrid: 3+ days/week in office)

Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and maintain features across Edge product surfaces including the Tulip Player and device drivers.
• Partner with product, design, and QA teams to ship features from prototype to production.
• Debug and resolve technical issues in real-world manufacturing environments.
• Write clean, tested, and well-documented code while participating in peer code reviews.
• Contribute to architectural decisions regarding platform reliability and scalability.
• Participate in on-call rotations to triage and resolve technical requests.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• 2-5+ years of software engineering experience in production web applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with API design and RESTful services.
• Proficiency in unit and integration testing and debugging practices.
• Must be able to work in the Somerville, MA office 3+ days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, React Native/Expo, or Electron.
• Knowledge of hardware/device integrations.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools like Cursor or Copilot.
