Staff Software Engineer (React/TypeScript, MedTech)

Location: Must be based in the United States (Hybrid options available in Denver, CO; New York, NY; Dallas, TX; Lisbon, PT).

Salary: $175,000 - $201,000 (Base) + 15% target annual bonus.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end clinical reporting experience for cardiologists and radiologists.
• Build web-based results summaries that handle complex multi-source data and clinical hierarchies.
• Implement secure viewer launch flows and integrate with third-party reporting engines.
• Partner with backend and core lab teams to ensure reliable workflow support and EHR write-back.
• Consume and shape REST APIs while maintaining audit-safe data handling.
• Contribute to backend services to support the reporting platform as needed.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep frontend expertise.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Experience building clinician-facing interfaces in regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR or HL7 v2).
• Ability to operate in a regulated environment with requirements traceability and validation support.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DICOM-SR, SEG, or Presentation State concepts.
• Experience embedding medical viewers like OHIF or Cornerstone.
• Java and Spring framework experience.
• Prior integration with dictation tools like Nuance or M*Modal.
