Network Engineer (Juniper)

Location: Remote from San José Province, San Marcos, Costa Rica

What you will do

• Manage and maintain network monitoring systems and troubleshoot faults through isolation, corrective action, or escalation.
• Provision and configure core network services, including IP assignments, DNS, NNI ports, monitoring tools, and controlled network changes.
• Build, install, configure, and audit network equipment, hardware, security, and configurations.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers on troubleshooting, upgrades, network changes, and service-impact resolution.
• Write custom monitoring plugins, configure graphing, and maintain NOC documentation.
• Act as a Tier 3 escalation point and participate in a 24x7 call-out rotation if required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network operations.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge of TCP/IP routing protocols, including STP, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and IPSec.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran routing, switching, and firewall devices.
• Strong knowledge of WAN technologies, VOIP, VPNs, security protocols, Linux networking, and centralized device monitoring tools.
• JNCIA or CCNA certification required; JNCIP or CCNP preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex situations, multitask, prioritize work, and collaborate effectively within a global technical team.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying SD-WAN.
• JNCIP or CCNP certification.
