Senior Product Counsel (AI)

Salary: $219,800–$302,300 USD or $244,200–$335,850 USD, depending on pay zone

What you will do

• Provide end-to-end product counseling from ideation through end of life.
• Advise engineering, product management, commercialization, marketing, communications, and other business teams on product, privacy, data protection, and technology matters.
• Draft and update product and service agreements and negotiate product- and security-related customer contract terms, including DPAs and BAAs.
• Assess vendor data flows and coordinate with privacy counsel to address data protection risks.
• Advise on cybersecurity issues as a member of incident response teams.
• Improve product counseling processes and provide flexible legal support across the business.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant legal experience at a top law firm and/or in-house, including at least 2 years focused on product, privacy, and/or IP law.
• State bar membership required.
• Deep understanding of cloud and software technology.
• Technical background through engineering or hard science education, deep product expertise, or significant technology experience.
• Strong judgment, prioritization, client-management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with distributed teams and manage competing demands with limited direct guidance.

• Experience with AI, FedRAMP requirements, or payments.
