What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and scale a distributed engineering organization across NYC and Vancouver.
• Own engineering recruiting strategy, hiring standards, and organizational design.
• Define technical strategy across backend services, infrastructure, and platform architecture.
• Guide scalability initiatives for real-time patient communications and asynchronous workflows.
• Establish engineering best practices for security, compliance, and performance in a HIPAA-regulated environment.
• Partner with Product and Operations leadership to align engineering priorities with company goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and scaling distributed engineering organizations.
• Expertise in setting technical direction and driving large-scale infrastructure decisions.
• Deep experience operating compliant, fault-tolerant production environments in regulated industries like HIPAA.
• Track record of implementing reliability solutions for real-time and asynchronous data workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership to translate business priorities into actionable roadmaps.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in NYC or Vancouver.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare technology or SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, or EHR integrations.
