TL;DR
VP of Engineering (AI/HealthTech): Leading and scaling a high-performing software engineering organization to build an AI-powered proactive documentation platform for healthcare with an accent on generative AI integration and organizational growth. Focus on driving technical decision-making, mentoring engineering managers, and ensuring system reliability and scalability.
Location: Hybrid. Must be based in or relocate to the New York City metropolitan area. Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship required.
Salary: $275,000 – $350,000 + Equity

is an AI-powered Proactive Documentation platform that advances healthcare delivery by reviewing patient data in EHRs to recommend diagnoses and surface clinical evidence.
What you will do
- Partner with the CTO and Head of Product to align technical execution with company priorities and the product roadmap.
- Own and optimize engineering delivery processes to improve predictability and estimation accuracy.
- Design an organizational structure that fosters accountability and eliminates bottlenecks.
- Mentor and upskill engineering managers to grow as leaders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Operations to accelerate iteration.
- Define and execute the engineering roadmap for AI-powered, clinically reliable systems.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in senior leadership roles (Director or VP level).
- Experience scaling engineering organizations to 30+ people within high-growth startup environments.
- Experience leveraging generative AI and agentic coding workflows to accelerate the SDLC.
- Proven track record of managing and mentoring engineering managers.
- Strong foundation in AWS, modern CI/CD practices, and observability frameworks.
Nice to have
- Experience in health tech or enterprise SaaS environments.
- Experience leading teams using Python, TypeScript, or Go.
