What you will do

• Design, prototype, and improve mechanical components and subassemblies for complex electromechanical systems.
• Develop and maintain CAD models, detailed drawings, and bills of materials (BOM) for prototypes and released designs.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles, including tolerance analysis, material selection, and DFM/DFA.
• Evaluate thermal design constraints using hand calculations, test data, FEA/CFD, and simulation tools.
• Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of system hardware in a lab environment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve fabrication, fit, and performance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training.
• 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, driving tasks from concept through release.
• Proficiency in professional CAD systems and creating detailed drawings with GD&T.
• Experience designing machined and sheet-metal components.
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude from lab work, fabrication, or equipment maintenance.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by U.S. export control laws.
