Salary: $117,800 - $200,300 Annually

What you will do

• Develop mechanical designs for UHV and HV subsystems and supporting hardware.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
• Apply GD&T principles and conduct tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Perform structural, thermal, and vibration FEA simulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, systems, and manufacturing.
• Investigate failures and drive root-cause corrective actions.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Milpitas, CA
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience, Master's with 3+ years, or Doctorate with 0 years.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and precision engineering.
• Experience designing assemblies for vacuum, UHV, or cleanroom environments.
• Proficiency with Creo, ProE, or similar 3D CAD platforms.
• Knowledge of high-voltage system considerations and contamination control.

Nice to have

• Experience with FEA and engineering simulation tools.
• Knowledge of machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and brazing.
• Experience supporting prototype builds and qualification testing.
