TL;DR

Service Associate (Insurance): Handling customer inquiries, policy endorsements, and retention for homeowners insurance with an accent on consultative problem-solving and customer-centric service. Focus on achieving first-call resolution, explaining complex coverage options, and managing key customer relationships.

Location: Hybrid - Must work from hirify.global office in Austin, TX or Dallas, TX for 3 days/week

Salary: $25.00/hr

What you will do

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through inbound phone calls, emails, and chat.
  • Explain homeowners insurance coverages, policy options, billing, and endorsements clearly.
  • Resolve customer inquiries during the initial interaction to achieve First Call Resolution (FCR).
  • Manage customer retention by addressing concerns and educating them on the value of their coverage.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Billing, Claims, and Sales departments to resolve requests.
  • Document all customer interactions and policy changes accurately in company systems.

Requirements

  • Active General Lines Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of insurance customer service experience in a call center or contact center environment.
  • Intermediate PC skills with focus on Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to simultaneously navigate between multiple applications and windows.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for explaining complicated terminology.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce or NICE phone systems.
  • Strong desire for professional learning and development within the insurance industry.
