What you will do

• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on utility-scale solar equipment including inverters, trackers, and DC combiner boxes.
• Execute high, medium, and low voltage switching operations safely.
• Conduct inspections and data collection on plant equipment to ensure performance standards.
• Collaborate with work crews and provide technical leadership to field personnel.
• Maintain compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all field activities.
• Document technical and administrative tasks associated with power facility operations.

Requirements

• Must be based in Bakersfield, CA
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a PV O&M solar technician OR 5+ years in a power plant with 1+ year in PV Solar O&M/construction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals such as electrical measurements and control circuits.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks including climbing and lifting.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
