What you will do

• Conduct qualification testing for tools, fasteners, and torque equipment used in solar tracker assembly.
• Perform form-fit-function testing on new product concepts, prototypes, and revised designs.
• Evaluate fastener performance, joint integrity, and tool access to ensure safe and repeatable field installation.
• Assess new vendors and manufacturing sources to verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Document test results, identify failure modes, and provide data-driven recommendations for installation manuals and procedures.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Field Applications teams to resolve installation issues and improve product manufacturability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product testing, mechanical systems, fastening systems, or quality engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience with measurement tools (torque tools, calipers, gauges, 3D scanners).
• Ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs and work in outdoor R&D field environments.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% to vendor facilities and project sites.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Arena, Jira, and SolidWorks/CAD systems.
• Prior knowledge of solar tracker installation methods and fastener applications.
