What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of embedded software engineers working on mission-critical applications.
• Contribute 50% of time to hands-on technical design, coding, and debugging.
• Establish technical direction and software development processes for embedded systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless software and hardware integration.
• Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and technical risk mitigation.
• Ensure all software development lifecycle processes meet security and quality standards.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted asylum.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in embedded software development with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in aerospace or defense embedded software.
• Experience with NASA or Space Force standards.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems.
• Experience with GNC algorithms and FMSA.
