TL;DR

Systems Design Architecture Intern (Hardware/Engineering): Contributing to hardware performance testing and design verification for optical modem products with an accent on data collection, analysis, and test automation. Location: Ottawa, Canada (Onsite)

Salary: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour

What you will do

• Assist with Design Verification Testing (DVT) including optical, power, and electrical performance.
• Capture, analyze, and present data from DVT tests.
• Automate software test cases for optical modules using Python scripting.
• Perform hands-on testing of features using evaluation boards and GUIs.
• Identify issues and drive resolution within hardware and software design teams.
• Provide feedback to help drive improvements into optical module designs.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Programming, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Strong hands-on lab skills or a demonstrated desire to develop them.
• Ability to work effectively both under direction and independently.
• Strong work ethic and adaptability to a variety of tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with MATLAB and Java scripting.
• Familiarity with lab test equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) and handling large data sets.
