Location: On-site in Mount Nansen, YT / Whitehorse, YT

Salary: $37 - $44 per hour

What you will do

• Operate and maintain water treatment equipment, including pumps, hoses, clarifiers, and pipelines.
• Monitor and optimize the lime/caustic precipitation reactor and sludge dewatering processes.
• Perform quality control tasks for pH, turbidity, and density, and prepare water samples for analysis.
• Conduct regular sampling and inspections of ponds and tailings areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on on-site equipment, buildings, and roadways.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly operational summary reports.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience operating water treatment plants.
• Must possess a current Driver's License and be able to drive to the job site.
• Good physical health: ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience operating hand tools, small machinery, and other site equipment.
