Project Manager

TL;DR

Project Manager (PMO): Owning end-to-end project lifecycles within a PMO, from intake and chartering to execution and closure, with an accent on process improvement and cross-functional alignment. Focus on driving complex initiatives in a matrixed environment using Jira and Confluence to ensure visibility, scope control, and stakeholder engagement.

Location: Remote (US only), with a strong preference for candidates within a commutable distance of Waltham, MA for occasional in-person collaboration.

What you will do

• Manage projects end-to-end, including intake, planning, execution, and closure.
• Improve PMO operations by developing SOPs, templates, and workflows in Jira and Confluence.
• Drive alignment across functional teams in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
• Maintain project documentation, including Work Breakdown Structures, communication plans, and risk logs.
• Facilitate project meetings, track dependencies, and manage scope to minimize creep.
• Provide guidance and resources to operations teams for non-PMO-led initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (no visa sponsorship available).
• Proven experience managing projects end-to-end within a PMO or structured environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Strong command of project management disciplines: WBS, risk management, and scope control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
• Process-improvement mindset with experience fixing friction in workflows.

Nice to have

• PMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certification.
• Experience with change management frameworks and driving tool adoption.
• Experience building or maturing PMO processes from the ground up.
• Familiarity with foodservice, supply chain, or SaaS industries.
