What you will do

• Define the overall test strategy, roadmap, and architecture for wafer-level and module-level testing of silicon photonics devices.
• Design and optimize fully automated, high-throughput optical test beds integrating precision alignment and RF instrumentation.
• Collaborate with design teams to implement robust Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) features.
• Lead electro-optic characterization of active and passive components, including high-bandwidth RF parameters and Bit Error Rate (BER).
• Develop advanced data analysis pipelines to identify yield detractors and drive continuous manufacturing improvement.
• Partner with external OSATs and foundry partners to co-develop customized production-line test setups.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in silicon photonics design, characterization, or production testing.
• Proficiency in developing automation frameworks using Python, LabVIEW, or C/C++.
• Extensive experience with high-speed optical and RF test equipment.
• Strong statistical skills using tools like JMP, MATLAB, Pandas/NumPy, or SQL.
