What you will do

• Review financial reports, reconciliations, and workpapers to validate balances and identify discrepancies.
• Analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting requirements.
• Lead month-end close activities, including variance analysis and journal entry validation.
• Prepare budget analyses and compare actual results against projections.
• Design automated dashboards and financial tracking tools to improve reporting efficiency.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and grantors to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Must be based in a US time zone
• Fluent and clear English proficiency
• Strong background in accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and grant reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting platforms like QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with senior leadership
