What you will do

• Run general ledger accounting operations: journal entries (accruals, prepaids, payroll allocations, depreciation, intercompany) and maintain reconciliations (cash, AR, AP, deferred revenue, inventory, credit cards).
• Lead monthly and quarterly month-end close cycles, maintain close checklists/schedules, and deliver close within 5–7 business days.
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and perform budget vs. actual and forecast vs. actual variance analysis with written leadership commentary.
• Support external audits and prepare PBC schedules; manage sales/property tax filings and compliance reporting while maintaining internal controls and accounting SOPs.
• Identify accounting inefficiencies and reconciliation bottlenecks; improve workflows and support ERP optimization/automation initiatives.
• Review/approve work of staff accountants/bookkeepers/junior personnel and mentor on reconciliations, GAAP treatment, and reporting standards; collaborate with FP&A, operations, sales, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accrual accounting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite; also experience with Xero and/or SAP is required/expected.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule aligned with U.S. business hours.

Nice to have

• CPA or ACCA certification.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and foreign currency accounting.
• Industry experience in SaaS, real estate, or professional services.
• ERP implementation or accounting automation exposure.
• Experience improving accounting SOPs and workflows.
