What you will do

• Execute accurate and timely month-end closes and prepare financial reports aligned with client requirements
• Manage payroll processing and employee onboarding using systems like Gusto, ensuring compliance
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintain accurate general ledgers across multiple entities
• Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax and maintain compliance documentation
• Build custom financial reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
• Review and improve accounting processes and standardize systems across clients
• Coordinate with leadership and clients on priorities, deadlines, and reporting expectations

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong experience with accrual accounting, GAAP financials, and multi-entity/multi-location businesses
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop and advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables)
• Payroll experience with systems like Gusto and knowledge of U.S. sales tax filings
• Strong written and verbal English skills

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, ADP/Paylocity, Bill.com, Ramp, and time-tracking tools like Clockify
• Exposure to outsourced accounting firms
