What you will do
- Build and operate a Python-based trading stack for signal generation, backtesting, and execution logic.
- Develop optimized data solutions to ensure low-latency data retrieval.
- Productionize and monitor live trading algorithms in a real-market environment.
- Apply software engineering best practices to design scalable, robust, and testable systems.
- Collaborate with quant researchers, traders, and risk teams to deploy new strategies.
- Develop cloud-native applications and create versatile reporting and visualization frameworks.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Python developer.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including OOP, functional patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency with version control, code review, testing, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience testing and productionizing quantitative models (prediction, optimization, or performance attribution).
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team orientation.
- Must be based in Berlin, Germany.
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services or energy trading companies.
- Proficiency with Python scientific libraries: NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, or Polars.
- Experience with time-series databases, Airflow, and containerized cloud services.
- Knowledge of at least one statically typed programming language.
- SQL proficiency.
